iMusic Tuesday

In all my ranting about the iPod and BMW dealio*, I forgot that there were some other things going on, and that they are more important than putting an over-priced MP3 player in an over-priced automobile.

Yep, buying songs from an over-priced music store. In Europe, no less!

Going through the Apple web site last week, I realized that I let all my time be devoted to ranting about the BMW thing. If I had payed more attention to what else was happening in the world that day, I would’ve stumbled on this Time.com story that lists the iTMS as one of the “50 Coolest Websites.”

Also, I would’ve read this press release about how iTunes in Europe is the “next big thing.” Not like Napster wasn’t the “next big thing,” but they sure ain’t doing so well in America, and they sure ain’t selling no 800,000 songs in the land of the Euro.

And speaking of stories I would’ve got to if I hadn’t been too busy ranting about iPodyourBMW.com, iPodlounge has a new feature on “A Brief History of iPod.” It’s really neat to see how far the iPod has come in the past four years.

And on a personal note, I call the iTunes Music Store the iTMS. Ask all my friends, that’s what I do. Soon, people all over the internet will too. They might already, I haven’t really checked. But if they are, I like to think that I had some part in it. And I don’t think it’s over-priced. I was just making a joke.

The opinions expressed by the host are not necessarily those of the Mac Source or any of the managers, editors, or interns. Well, except for a couple of the interns. Only cause he makes them.

Have a great week, and don’t forget the Free Download Single of the Week!
