Dear Apple:

I’ve been kind, lately. I haven’t gone off on the Video iPod, the nano (much), that new Photoshop killer. New Power Macs and PowerBooks. None of them.

Turns out that you’ve released an update to Mac OS X Tiger, 10.4.3. Nice. I’ll pass.

Yeah, I know, all kind of enhancements and crap, but I’ll just wait, if it’s alright with you. I’ve been burned once too many times with upgrades, so I’ll sit this one out.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m going to update. Just not today. Maybe not this week. Maybe not for a couple of weeks.

It’s not really you, per se. It’s me. I’m not going to jump on the next big thing, just because you say I’m supposed to. The price I pay for upgrading is that I’ll have outdated OS issues. Some of my stuff won’t work.

Well, the alternative is having an entire computer that don’t work, something I do not look forward to. So I’m waiting. You go on, ahead, without me. I’ll be along shortly.

Your Friend,
MacStansbury
