Or not. Scenes from The Walking Dead set to music.
Grizzly early moments of Turn
There will be blood on this show. I figured a lot more people would get this shot, as it gives a taste of just how brutal war then was. Around 2 minutes and 40 seconds into the Pilot, we’re shown the corpses of American freedom-fighters.
The one living fellow–the one on the top left–is finishing off any still-living soldiers. It was common practice at the time, as some soldiers would “play possum” and act dead. One bayonet blow through the heart would prove wether or not the battlefield was cleared of the living. This was, of course, some 180 or so years before the Geneva Convention and common rules for war.
So loving Turn right now. Happy to see how this is going to turn out.
Get it? Turn out?
Anybody? Turn? See what I did there?
Okay, never mind. I look forward to see how AMC does a historical drama with more ability to fact-check than just “that ain’t the hats they wore in 1965” or “if that was me I would shot that zombie”.
